Some home decor

I'm still working on making the apartment pretty, while finding space for baby and personalising my new scrap space, so I worked on a few decor projects over the last few days. Here's a snap of my inspiration corner in progress

The framed flowery piece is from an idea I saw online probably about a year ago. It seems I didn't bookmark it though. You can see a close up here on flickr

The brown piece is on old cork board that I covered in linen. I plan to make some cute thumbtacks to stick things to it.

The black frame is another idea I saw online. I strung several lengths of twine through frame hooks that I nailed to the inside of the frame, and used mini clothespins to attach the postcards etc.

I'm also in the process of doing something with the mantle. It's always hard for me to get it looking cool again after the colour explosion of Christmas!
