I remember when I was growing up that everyone who was expecting a baby was always in the process of knitting and crocheting cute hats, booties and cardigans for the newborn. So I've been itching to whip up something with yarn for the babe, because it just seems like the thing to do.
Since my knitting and crocheting skills (not to mention my lack of patience) are no where near good enough to produce the kind of layette I remember seeing, I was happy to find this tutorial for glass bottle cozies (cosies?).
I started on one right away, in a crazy Caribbean/Rastafarian colour scheme (because yes, I do have a stash of yarn and needles).
It's all just single crochets, which I can definitely handle. I plan to have at least one done by the end of the day.
