Yesterday being Fat Tuesday (or Mardi Gras, or Shrove Tuesday) we had pancakes for dinner. My evil husband also made the traditional French pastry known as bugnes, which I learned from Wikipedia are called Angel Wings in English. It turns out that in fact they are traditionally eaten on Fat Thursday, the last Thursday before Lent, so we were several days late. Sure doesn't change how delicious they are though! Did you have pancakes yesterday?
