I was totally in the zone while working with the August Little Black Dress kit. In fact I tweeted this update
followed by this one a few hours later
The next day I did two more layouts for a total of five with this kit!
Here they are, in the order I made them
This is the second layout I have done about Play recently. (The other one is in the August Gallery at Write.Click.Scrapbook). Since reading the book of the same name by Dr. Stuart Brown, I have been a bit obsessed with incorporating more Play in my life. Oh and that awesome photo was taken by Kieran! He likes to press the shutter, and did so while Lucas was pointing the camera at me. Close up shots are here
Speaking of obsessions, Kieran loves these rocking things at the playground. He's been on them countless times, hence the title: No.522. It's entirely possible that he has been on them that many times! Close up shots are here
Another way I am incorporating "play" - doing more painting, and misting on pages. I also used an idea I got from poemcrazy by Susan G Wooldridge - she talked about making word tickets and I ran with that idea using the word stickers in the kit. Close up shots are here
I blogged these photos a while back comparing Kieran eating hummus at ages 8 and 21 months. The Grow card in the kit reminded me that I wanted to do a page about this. Close up shots are here
Finally the October Afternoon 5 & Dime paper inspired this page about our recent trip to the flea market. I tried to go for a vintage and eclectic look with all the tags stuck in the background Close up shots are here
I know I say this all the time, but I do love working with these kits, I always find stories I want to tell, that go with them each month.
Do you enjoy using scrapbook kits? Would you like to know more about how I approach using the kits I get each month? Leave me a comment below!
