This month I am teaching at Masterful Scrapbook Design (MSD), the brainchild of Debbie Hodge from Get it Scrapped. MSD is a subscription service of monthly seminars about scrapbook design, that is extremely comprehensive and detailed. Each month an aspect of design is addressed through the use of written seminar notes, galleries, articles and live seminars with the teachers.
I taught there once before, last July, and it was a fantastic experience for me. It was my first time doing a live seminar and I was quite nervous, but Debbie made it easy!
This month the theme is using Motif & Meaning in design, one of my favourite topics! I make it a point not to put anything on my pages that doesn't have a reason to be there, whether it be obvious, or only a meaning that I can see. The seminars this month will address exactly that!
For example: Why did I use those stars on this page? And why in that location? Yes. That is totally a teaser.
I just read through the seminar notes for the month and once again I am so impressed by the detail that Debbie puts into each month's topic. Along with me there will also be Vee Jennings, Cindy Liebel, Melanie Grimes and Amber Ries. Each of us has provided 10 layouts as examples for discussing the topic, and there are articles and the live seminars too.
I also just saw on the site that the subscription price will soon be raised, but if you sign up by February 20th, you can lock in the current monthly price.
