I am super super happy with my Project Life pages for Week 4. This week I have one main double spread and two inserts.
Here is the main spread.
I managed to reduce the number of photos this week. Kieran was sick for a couple days, so the camera didn't come out much then, but I also was quite ruthless in making my selections. Well maybe not that ruthless as I do have an insert with extra photos. Here is the spread again with the inserts.
The first insert is an American Crafts landscape 8&1/2x11 protector that I made dividers in with my sewing machine. It holds photos and ephemera.

I added some yellow washi tape along the margin.

I saved the packaging from my current favourite tea! You can see the back on the other side.
The second insert is just a regular A4 page protector and in it I put our menu planner for the week and another lunch planner I printed out but didn't get a chance to use because Kieran got to it first.
Here are the main individual pages.
Left Side:
The title spot uses two printables from The Splendid Miss M
A bit of journaling about how much Kieran loves playing with Lego (Duplo). I included a piece of a brochure that came with one of the last sets he got.
Right Side:
We were having lovely sunny days last week so I took a screenshot of the weather forecast. I also tweeted about the weather, and the fact that we were out blowing bubbles in January, so I included that as well.
This photo is a compilation of four photos all about stuff going on for me that week. I didn't get a self-portrait so this was how I included "me" in the spread. I used this free template from Paislee Press to get the four photos on one 4x6 sheet.
My thoughts this week:
1. I still need to make an effort to make notes during the week so that doing the journaling is easier.
2. This week I started preparing on Sunday by downloading and selecting my photos, and editing and printing them out on Monday. That way I was ready to get going on Tuesday afternoon, when I sat to do the pages.
3. I tried planning my pages out before printing the photos and it was a huge help. I quickly sketched the layout of mt two main protectors and had it close by when deciding which photos would make the final cut.
I did end up moving things around, but the planning really helped to decide on the number and size of photos I should print.
4. I am still loving this project!
Now that I've posted the first four weeks, I don't plan to post every week, but I'll do an update once a month to share my favourite week (or two), as well as other tips and freebies I come across.
If you're doing Project Life and you're posting about it, please link me up in the comments. I love to see other people's takes on it (and steal ideas too!)
