Summer is really winding to a close over here. I have tried to deny it, because we still have some warm and sunny days, but the garden is the proof of the truht. It is definitely winding down, as I haven't picked a courgette (zucchini) in about a week - a few weeks ago we couldn't eat them fast enough. The tomatoes and berries are slowly fading away, and even the prolific aromatic herbs seem to be growing slower.
I guess it's time to harvest the last of the mint, lemon balm and verbena for winter teas. We do however have our butternut squash to look forward to soon.
And hopefully a second to follow, if this baby was properly pollinated.
Are you looking forward to an autumn harvest too?
