It's not a fancy word. It's not even that imaginative. After all isn't being better what we all want at the start of a new year? For months I had already had a word lined up: flow. Because I thought that I would be in a place where everything would be flowing from my effortt in 2012.
Towards the end of December, as I started journaling in order to firm up my plans for 2013, it just didn't feel right. I felt that I definitely wasn't in a place where everything was flowing. And I remembered that throughout the latter part of 2012 my mind would always be whispering to me "You're taking action but you need to do better". Or even "You can do better than this".
And so a new word found me. Ali Edwards has talked about this phenomenon before, and she is right.
Once again this year I started a board on Pinterest to keep motivational quotes and ideas that strike a chord with me, and relate to better. I'm sharing a few of my favourites.
I found this one on Facebook, posted on the Greeblemonkey page.
Progress, not perfection from Nerdfit
I loved this quote from Dr. Suess posted on Elise Blaha's blog
Yes. 2013 is going to be better. Don't you think?
What's your word for the year?
P.S. Go check out this post by Ali where she has compiled a bunch of OLWs for this year.
