When we got back from our week's vacation in the mountains in August, I was very proud that I almost immediately downloaded the photos off my camera. I was surprised to see that I took 390 photos in just 8 days and felt quite overwhelmed! Now what? I'm already behind on last year's summer photos which still haven't been scrapped. I needed a plan!
Scrolling through all the photos and reliving different moments gave me my first idea: first I'll make a project to recap the entire vacation. Like a layout with highlight photos titled Summer 2013 or Summer Fun. Cheesy, but effective!
Next I plan to group the photos into the different events or occasions that took place. For example: the family picnic,
the visit to the petting farm
and Kieran flying his kite in the field.
Depending on how many photos are in each group I'll do a layout or a mini-book. Or maybe both!
Finally, I'll get more detailed oriented and work on projects about special moments,
or layouts that show a connection between seemingly unrelated events. Like, who is this big boy?
Now, who's going to hold me accountable for getting all of this done?
P.S. And I still need to deal with all the other photos from just hanging out at home this summer!
