Sister Sketch September | Beach Baby
Finally sharing our pages for September! I was happy to print out a couple photos from sumemr vacation and get them scrapped. Here's the sketch again
I totally stuck to the sketch this month. I loved all the white space. It really makes the photos shine.
That photo at the top is arguably my favourite from the trip. Here are some close-up shots

Sister sketch June | Family Visit

This month's sketch has spaces for lots of photos, and I definitely took advantage of that!
Of course I scrapped about the visit of my sister and my dear friend (and Kieran's godmother).
I cut apart a Heidi Swapp memory file to make a kind of mini-book on my page for journaling and even more photos!

To make the striped background I brushed on spray inks with a foam brush.

Sister Sketch May 2014 | So Many Books
May is drawing to a close (already!), so it's time to share our layouts. Here's the sketch we used

For my page I used the main elements of the circle, square photo and title.
My husband and I are huge readers, so I am happy that Kieran loves books too.
I created my background using stamps and washi tape, then added the photo, journaling and embellishments. Usually on book related pages I tend to use alphabet or text embellishments, but this time I decided to contrast with numbers, which went well with the title.
Now let's go see how Vernell used the sketch.

Sister Sketch April | Ticket to Fun
It's time to share our layouts! A look back at the sketch
Here's our sketch for April, designed by Vernell, and made into a layered template by yours truly. Grab your freebie below!
I used landscape photos instead of portrait, so I rotated the sketch 90 degrees
To make the background, I placed a paper plate on the card stock, then painted around it with two colours of ink. I also spritzed charcoal ink over the circle.
Just another everyday story about how much the boy loves cars and trucks and things that go.
